Paraphernalia is an Italian brand of design . It has stood out for the creativity, style, aesthetics and functionality of its pen and accessory models since 1968.
The scenario is this: Milan, the 70s, symbol of the avant-garde and design, of new movements and trends, the years of pop Design , characterized by bright colors and organic shapes, of new materials such as ABS plastic, the years of a new society, far from the past.
It is in this new Milan, in Brera, that the company was born Paraphernalia as a shop specializing in the sale of objects and the import of various gadgets from London.
It then becomes a meeting place for several designer with which Parafernalia starts collaborations for the production of its own objects. The first results are furnishing accessories, lamps, ornaments and gadgets.
Only in the early 70s did the production of writing instruments begin when the magazine Domus expresses to Parafernalia the desire to design and create a pen to be included in the special edition magazine. He's the designer Sergio Carpani to carry out the project, giving life to “AL 13”.
