The Codex project takes inspiration from "Cryptex", invented by Dan Brown in his best seller "The Da Vinci Code" and attributed by the writer to Leonardo da Vinci.
The Cryptex, from the union of "cryptology" and "codex", is an imaginary device that hides information within the book, which can be reached by guessing the correct sequence of letters among those present on five rotating marble discs.
Once the letters that make up the code have been aligned, the corresponding internal notches are arranged in such a way as to allow the opening of the cylinder, just as happens for Codex.
A suggestive and fascinating idea, which Pininfarina Segno dedicates to all fans of the "Da Vinci Code" and to all those who like to think that the creation of the Cryptex is the fruit of Leonardo's genius, to relive a bit of the mystery evoked by the novel in everyday life .
