Exploring the horizons of a world without borders
Pininfarina SPACE is a writing instrument designed for space. Made entirely of magnesium, an ultra-light material with high mechanical performance, Pininfarina Space was donated to the crew of the International Space Station (ISS) during the last VITA mission. The astronauts, including the Italian Paolo Nespoli, were therefore able to use it in microgravity conditions, where normal pens do not work. The Ethergraf® metal alloy with which the tip is forged, writes by oxidation without the need for graphite or ink, therefore lending itself perfectly to the environmental characteristics of space stations, where the micro debris produced by the graphite of normal pencils is very dangerous for the system of filtering.
